Rights Project

What is your right? The freedome of an individual to come together with other individuals.
Why does your right exist? This right exists so that individuals with common interests can come together and discuss them. Also this right existis so that people with opposing views can PEACEFULLY get together and discuss why they disagree.
Describe what it means to exercise your right. If I were exersise my right to the right of assembly you might see me doing things we take forgranted like going to a concert, a sporting event, a rally or even a party.
What limitations exist on your right? The assembly has to be peacful, a common misconseption is that we have the right to assemble and it doesn't matter whether the assembly is peacful or not this is untrue. ALthough, as long as the assembly you are participating in does not cause a disturbance of the community or the peace you and your party should be able to assembly without any problems from athorities.
Why do those limitations exist? Limitations on this right exist so the athourities have the right to interviene if the assembly is causing a disturbance, becoming violent or threatening to others, or is violent or threatening for those involved.
If you had to give up this right, what would you want in return? I value this right greatly and if this right were to be taken from me it would have to be taken with force because I would not freely give this right up for something in return. By force I mean that if this right would be taken from me it would have to be taken with threats or heavy penalty. I hope that I am never put into this situation!
